    Formica Corporation, a world leader in laminate surfacing material manufacturing, has an immediate opening for an Industrial Electrician in our Cincinnati, Ohio manufacturing facility.

     

    Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical problems, repairing and replacing electrical components and other electrical duties as assigned.  A minimum of three years of experience with PLC’s and variable frequency drives is required (Experience with Rockwell equipment is preferred). 

     

    Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or have completed an accredited/certified Electrical Maintenance Apprenticeship program, including a minimum of 576 hours of classroom related instruction and 8000 hours of related on the job training.   

     

    Candidate must be self-directed, safety conscious, possess industrial maintenance electrical skills, a proven ability to work in restricted areas, climb ladders and platforms and work at high elevation.  Qualified candidates will also possess good verbal and written communication skills.

     

    Various non-rotating shifts available with the opportunity for overtime when available.

    THE FOLLOWING TASKS ARE PERFORMED BY FOREMEN:

     

    • Supervise and coordinate activities of construction trade workers
    • Direct and lead workers engaged in construction activities
    • Assign work to employees
    • Confer with staff and workers to ensure production and personnel problems are resolved
    • Suggest and initiate personnel actions
    • Examines and inspects work progress, equipment, and construction site to verify safety and ensure specifications are met
    • Performs other related duties as required

     

    THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE IS REQUIRED TO SKILLFULLY PERFORM THE JOB OF FOREMAN:

     

    • Knowledge of business and management principles, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
    • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction
    • Best Practice: OSHA 10 hour
    • Knowledge of company safety policies and procedures to comply with company, local, state, and/or federal laws

     

    THE FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB OF FOREMAN:
