    Job Description

    Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a TALENT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER who will report to the Chief People Officer and be responsible for the development and execution of company programs in the areas of employee development & learning, leadership and mentorship programs, performance management, cultural management such as employee engagement and building cultural awareness, as well as DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion). This is a hands-on position with primary responsibilities focused in designing, maintaining, and facilitating talent development programs to meet the organization’s needs. This includes managing programs offered through RinconU, the firm’s in-house university, building a leadership development program, managing and improving the firm’s performance management process, developing and facilitating training and related programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    The selected candidate will work closely with the Rincon leadership team and collaborate with colleagues in HR as well as business group leaders to build talent programs that align closely with the firm’s culture, values, and business needs. The ideal candidate must be a well-rounded, experienced HR/OD professional with excellent leadership and presentation skills, and demonstrated experience in building organizational development, talent development, and/or learning programs for a mid-sized or large company. WHAT DO YOU GET TO DO IN THIS POSITION:

    • Develop a strong understanding of Rincon’s business and firm culture
    • Determine learning and development needs within the organization to meet current and future business needs; identify, recommend and implement solutions
    • Set strategic direction and plan/design curriculum for RinconU that offers appropriate educational and developmental opportunities for team members
    • Select/Design and deliver management and leadership training, professional skills training and workshops to meet customized departmental needs; manage the development and ongoing delivery of business related training primarily led by subject matter experts within the organization
    • Research and recommend external vendors to build training programs or deliver specific training topics when appropriate
    • Serve as a partner and coach on employee development to managers within the organization
    • Research, recommend and implement methods of identifying, developing and retaining top talent (such has high potential programs, succession planning, mentorship/sponsorship programs, etc.)
    • Partner with Rincon’s DEI committee on initiatives to build cultural awareness and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm
    • Partner with the HR team on projects related to employee retention, recognition, and engagement; administer engagement surveys when necessary
    • Play a key role in designing and delivering firm’s Performance Management training for managers and employees; may support the redesigning of firm’s Performance Management process
    • Oversee the firm’s new-hire onboarding program and training; create/develop/deliver corporate orientation; help ensure a well-organized, positive onboarding experience
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the firm’s learning and development initiatives
    • Be an excellent team player; partner with HR colleagues on other team initiatives to help ensure a coordinated and well-executed approach to the provision of HR services within the organization

    THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; relevant certifications or advanced degree desirable
    • Five+ years of relevant hands-on experience in talent development, learning, or organizational development
    • Prior experience in a consulting firm highly desired
    • Strong background in company-wide program development, including experience in instructional design and course/program facilitation
    • Strong knowledge and experience in talent and organizational development - firm grasp of how they impact company performance
    • Experience with the performance management process including training and advising managers
    • Experience working with a learning management system (LMS); Cornerstone LMS preferred

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage the audience
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated success building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
    • Demonstrated ability to partner with managers and business leaders in an influential manner; comfortable interacting with all levels in the organization
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • A desire to continually improve processes and research and implement best practices
    • Exercises good judgment and maintains strict confidentiality
    • A team player with the ability and willingness to pitch in as needed in areas outside one’s own core expertise
    • Relevant licenses/certifications desired (i.e. personality/behavioral assessments, training & development, coaching, human resources, etc.)
    • Prior experience in the HR field as a business partner or generalist desired
