WHO WE ARE:

RipeMetrics, Inc. ( http://ripemetrics.com ), a Customer Experience and Feedback Management platform for the cannabis industry, is seeking motivated interns for fall and winter 2018 unpaid internship opportunities at our San Diego, CA office.

We are seeking a research intern who will thrive as an individual contributor with a hands-on, detail-oriented and entrepreneurial approach to problem solving. 

This is a great time to get in on the ground level with an amazing Start-Up. During this internship, you will complete a target list of investors and a map showing all the key players in the industry.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

• How to navigate multiple database tools to get an in-depth look at the industry, competitors and relevant VC and M&A deals

• Understand how to filter and prioritize key findings from the database research and why it's important for the business  

• Use investment databases to triangulate key information about acquisitions and the individuals and firms who invested early in those deals

• Unlock investment trends from the research and use those findings to build a shortlist of high target investors

TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

• Completing a breakdown of VC and Angel deals as well as successful M&A exits
• Analyzing potential buyers and potential strategic partners
• Identifying investors using a deal centric approach
• Working directly with the RipeMetrics team to highlight the key metrics and milestones for deals
• Building a fundraising strategy plan
• Beginning an outreach campaign with direct supervision

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent writing skills
• Self-motivated and fast learner with a can-do attitude
• Organized, detail oriented, and reliable
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• An interest in the cannabis industry
• Previous experience in market research or other related fields is a plus
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data collection
