RipeMetrics, Inc. (http://ripemetrics.com ), a Customer Experience and Feedback Management platform for the cannabis industry, is seeking a motivated Software Developer intern, for an unpaid internship opportunity. College students or recent college grads are preferred - but not required. This is a great time to get in on the ground level with an amazing Start-Up. You'll join our growing development team under the mentorship of both our CTO and Senior Front-end software engineers.

WHO YOU ARE:

The ideal candidate has both a willingness and desire to work in a dynamic environment, is able to apply Lean/Agile methodologies in day-to-day activities, and is a self-motivated developer who mentors and shares knowledge. You're working towards a degree in computer science, system administration, data science, engineering, or software development.

You're proficient with web and mobile technologies, have an open mind, and are actively seeking feedback and advice from others. You have a strong personal commitment to quality, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and bring a willingness to learn. You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

You'll be working under our CTO alongside other front-end developers in an Agile development environment. As a software development intern, you'll expand your knowledge with the cloud and mobile world, and finish with a resume that opens doors. You'll gain something even more valuable: pride in what you've accomplished.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write well-designed, testable and efficient code that meets technical requirements.
• Take part in a highly collaborative team environment, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of code defects and deployment of timely fixes.
• Deliver projects on time and with the highest quality.
• Assist in back-end system architecture 
• Assist in the optimization of application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be available to work 20-40 hours per week) for at least 16 weeks.
• Working towards bachelor's degree or certificate in computer science, engineering, data science, graphic/web design, or a related field
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of business users and management.
• Ability to work individually and on team projects in an environment of teamwork and cooperation.
• Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of source control system Git, continuous integration, and basic sysadmin
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
