Job Description

Ripen is seeking an onsite Photo Retoucher for immediate freelance hire to edit/retouch photos to our internal standard to achieve the great results you see in our portfolio. A majority of the role involves editing, retouching, resizing, renaming, and organizing product shots. Typical jobs could include but not limited to 1) warping apparel shape to clean up product's lines 2) replacing studio background in shots with a color/gradient/texture 3) Compositing different exposures of product shots to produce final version. If you're an upbeat retoucher that likes to get hands-on with product, enjoys a fast-paced work environment, and is extremely organized, this is an ideal job for you. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit, retouch, and color correct product images for placement on our clients' site, advertising, and more
• Color correction and color matching 
• Contrast & exposure adjustment 
• White balancing
• Cosmetic Retouching 
• Compositing
• Crop & Size images correctly for web content management programs & multiple use options
• Removal of clamps & other unwanted data from images
• Organize, rename, and resize image files properly into a variety of internal servers, Dropbox, our website, and more
• Communicate project progress and potential challenges to the Studio Manager, Creative Director or Lead Photographer on a timely basis
• Assist on preparation and execution of creative studio photography

Qualifications

• Skilled and passionate about product photography and editing
• Knowledge of how to clip out images with a pen tool
• Experience as a photo assistant on set is a big plus
• A perfectionist eye for detail and color accuracy
• Expert in Lightroom, Photoshop, and file organization
• Extremely organized
• Positive and upbeat attitude
