    Job Description

    BryceTech is currently looking for a Risk Communications Specialist. This position will be supporting The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Chemical Biological Center, known as DEVCOM CBC. This role will craft and deliver targeted risk messaging and outreach to support government leads.

    The Person in this role will:

    • Develop clear, audience-focused messaging for risk and crisis scenarios to build trust and understanding.
    • Draft advisories, fact sheets, web content, and social media posts that explain hazards in plain language.
    • Coordinate with technical experts to translate complex risk assessments into actionable guidance.
    • Create communication plans, toolkits, and templates tailored to specific risk scenarios and stakeholder needs.
    • Monitor media coverage and social sentiment to adjust messaging tactics in real time.
    • Organize and support stakeholder engagement events, briefings, and public forums on risk topics.
    • Conduct media training and message-mapping workshops for designated spokespeople.
    • Evaluate communication effectiveness through analytics, surveys, and feedback loops.
    • Maintain a repository of risk-communication best practices, case studies, and lessons learned.
    • Advise incident management teams on messaging priorities, escalation paths, and public inquiries.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The experience and certification requirements listed below are essential to successfully perform the tasks above:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk, crisis, or emergency communications.
    • Proven writing, editing, and media-relations skills.
    • Familiarity with risk-assessment processes and communication frameworks.
