    About the Role

    WalkerHughes Insurance is seeking an experienced Insurance Risk Placement Specialist to support Commercial Lines new business and renewal marketing efforts. This role is responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking insurance applications with preferred carriers to ensure competitive and timely placement of client coverage.

    Key Responsibilities

    Marketing & Carrier Placement

    • Prepare and assemble complete insurance submissions (applications, loss runs, supplemental forms, supporting documentation)

    • Submit new and renewal business to carriers via agency systems, email, and online rating platforms

    • Track submission status and proactively follow up with underwriters to secure timely quotes

    • Support remarketing efforts for renewal accounts when needed

    • Maintain organized records of marketing activity and carrier responses

    Sales & Internal Support

    • Collaborate with Sales Executives to gather required underwriting data

    • Assist in preparing client proposals, including coverage comparisons and premium summaries

    • Coordinate smooth handoff of bound accounts to service teams

    • Maintain marketing materials and carrier documentation for internal reference

    Professional Development & Collaboration

    • Develop working knowledge of carrier guidelines, rating plans, and coverage forms

    • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and carrier partners

    • Identify and help resolve marketing-related issues to keep business moving forward

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience (rating, marketing, or underwriting support)

    • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License required

    • Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverage and underwriting processes

    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management systems

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Self-motivated and team-oriented
