    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Legal Admin will provide a full range of administrative and operational support to the Legal Team, including assistance with a number of complex corporate and compliance matters and projects, such as legal department corporate responsibilities related to governance and entity maintenance, third party discovery requests, day-to-day organizational efficiencies and other matters as assigned. Assigned tasks and responsibilities will touch general corporate, M&A, insurance regulatory and other areas and will provide broad exposure to in-house legal matters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide support to attorneys and compliance colleagues on a wide range of legal matters, including RSCs M&A activity and federal and state regulatory compliance matters.
    • Prepare and manage legal filings and other similar requirements applicable to the business.
    • Participate in diligence and document review in connection with RSCs business and M&A activities, including responding to diligence and regulatory requests.
    • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of relevant business, legal, regulatory and compliance issues and developments, as needed.
    • Maintain corporate records and legal workflows for RSC and its subsidiaries, including but not limited to, electronic files and action items.
    • Develop, implement, and manage signature processes on contracts, filings and other documents.
    • Assist with implementation and management of Legal Team technology platforms to promote department efficiency and scalability including matter management and contract management systems.
    • Prepare correspondence and oversee record-keeping, as necessary.
    • Track deadlines and keep the Legal Team informed about impending project milestone dates, deadlines and other matters.
    • Schedule meetings and provide calendar management for the legal team in Microsoft Outlook.
    • Managing and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Managing and processing invoices.
    • Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflows.
    • Fax, file, scan, and photocopy materials, as requested.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelors or Associates Degree (preferred)
    • 1+ years of experience as a legal admin preferred
    • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
    • Budget management skills and ability to reconcile expense reports
    • Project management skills and experience interacting with law firms and other vendors
    • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Strong research, proofreading, and formatting skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, advanced written and oral communication and effective customer service skills
    • Adapts well to change; able to multi-task and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Self-starter who is able to manage his/her time effectively and work independently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint required
