    • Our client, a large real estate management and development company, is seeking an experienced Risk and Insurance Manager to join their team in Sarasota. The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal abilities, solid expertise in managing insurance programs for large-scale operations, and skill in adapting to the diverse requirements of various business sectors within the company. Prior property management industry knowledge is crucial for success in this role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and assess potential risks facing the organization and continuously monitor market conditions to advise senior leadership on risk transfer and alternative financing strategies.
    • Manage and enhance property and casualty insurance programs to align with business goals, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage, contract terms, and compliance for tenants and vendors.
    • Oversee and coordinate property insurance claims, working closely with adjusters, brokers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve losses efficiently and secure competitive coverage and pricing.
    • Collaborate with legal teams to review contracts, leases, and service agreements for insurance requirements, and oversee financial audits, policy reviews, and insurance-related payments for accuracy and compliance.
    • Lead and mentor team members, maintain insurance data and reports, and support informed decision-making through accurate tracking of property schedules, loss history, and liability exposures.
    • Overseeing a team of 2 Insurance Admins

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or similar.
    • 6+ years in the insurance industry with focus on commercial real estate.
    • Knowledgeable in multiple carriers and commercial insurance.
    • Experience negotiating with brokers, agents, and underwriters on large-scale commercial insurance programs including the design and marketing of insurance programs, as well as claims oversight.
    • Familiarity with contractual risk transfer, including reviewing indemnification clauses and vendor insurance requirements.
    • Property & Casualty license and CPCO or ARM designations preferred.

    Compensation:

    • Base salary to 200k/year and bonus plan.
    • Medical, dental, vision coverage, and 401k.
    • Relocation package for those willing to relocate to the Sarasota, FL area.
