Job Description

Payroll Specialist with experience processing high volume payroll is needed at a large organization in Sacramento. This is an urgent need for our client and is a temp to hire, 40-hour position for a strong and organized professional who can manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Processing high volume, accurate, full cycle payroll including timecard management, calculations, deductions, leaves of absence, vacation tracking, benefits administration and more. Ensuring compliance to all company policies and procedures with the highest ethics. Following and staying current with all Government employment laws relating to payroll and benefits administration. Tracking payroll information, and financial reporting related to payroll records. Heavy data entry of sensitive and confidential employee information. Regular interaction with employees and other personnel, answering payroll and benefits-related questions. Diligent follow up on requested reporting and research required to respond to inquiries. Meet all critical payroll and reporting deadlines.

Requirements include: Payroll experience in a similar, high-volume role. Expansive knowledge of Payroll/Benefits-related employment law, rule and regulations. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in demanding circumstances. Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Propensity for organization and a high mathematical aptitude. Certified and/or Union Payroll experience is preferred but not required.   Must be able to clear a thorough drug screening and criminal background check, provide a minimum of two supervisory references and proper documentation to verify eligibility to work in the USA.
