Dean of Career and Technical Education
APPOINTMENT:
Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
The Dean of Career and Technical Education reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
JOB SUMMARY :
The Dean of Career and Technical Education (CTE) contributes to the development and implementation of the college's educational services by providing administrative leadership and direction for an identified set of educational programs of study. The Dean is responsible for the development, ongoing assessment, and operation of the CTE Division of the College, which includes oversight of multiple programs and management of program faculty across all RPCC campuses. This position is a 12-month position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and five years broad-based experience education/program administration.
· Experience with program development and assessment
· Strong management skills
· Innovative, creative, and energetic work style
· Demonstrated ability to build, coordinate and lead a team of diverse professionals
· The ability to represent RPCC internally and externally
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and to communicate with a diverse community
· Commitment to diversity and inclusion
· Experience creating and facilitating staff development and training
· Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
· Excellent written and oral communication skills; competency with office technology and software. ****
