  • Responsibilities

    Wilson & Company’s Omaha, NE office is seeking a Professional Engineer with experience in the design of transportation infrastructure, notably streets, highways, and interstates. This position will perform roadway design and modeling utilizing MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer. The qualified individual will work on projects of various sizes allowing more opportunity to lead and manage tasks. A background in traffic engineering design is also valuable as our team develops designs for signing and striping, traffic signals and construction traffic control, providing full-service roadway design to our clients.

    In this position you will work with experienced designers and project managers as well as collaborating with other disciplines and subconsultants to deliver projects primarily in Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri, but with opportunities to support regional projects as the opportunities arise.

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong work ethic and an understanding of engineering principles.
    • Experience in CADD utilizing MicroStation.
    • Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word and Excel.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
    • Nebraska Professional Engineer licensed or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
    • 4-7 years’ experience in the design of streets and highways in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
    • Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.

    Annual Salary range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
