Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for purchasing off the shelf items specified by description or manufacturer part numbers
- Contacts vendors to quote and evaluate cost and lead-time for new requirements
- Monitor on-going vendor performance
- Select approved suppliers and create purchase orders in SAP (our ERP system)
- Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers
- Interact with engineering department to assist in sourcing when needed for cost, quality and availability of materials
- Generate reports from our ERP system to measure key metrics
- Position must be able to work in a team environment, ability to change priorities, problem solving and analytical skills
- Position also needs to be able to multi task in fast pace environment
- Outlook, Excel, and SAP experience is preferred for this position
