Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for purchasing off the shelf items specified by description or manufacturer part numbers
• Contacts vendors to quote and evaluate cost and lead-time for new requirements
• Monitor on-going vendor performance
• Select approved suppliers and create purchase orders in SAP (our ERP system)
• Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers
• Interact with engineering department to assist in sourcing when needed for cost, quality and availability of materials
• Generate reports from our ERP system to measure key metrics
• Position must be able to work in a team environment, ability to change priorities, problem solving and analytical skills
• Position also needs to be able to multi task in fast pace environment
• Outlook, Excel, and SAP experience is preferred for this position
