POSITION SUMMARY:

Validates clinical documentation against established standards to ensure accuracy of the scanned clinical record. Ensures documents are tabbed correctly and scanned into the electronic health record.

Responsible for managing health information that is either stored electronically or in the paper record.

Assists individuals in accurately completing Releases of Information.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

One or more years’ experience in a medical records setting. Knowledge of health terminology, regulatory standards relating to the release of health, mental health and substance use information in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2. Exceptional attention to detail required and ability to interact in a professional manner with consumers and other stakeholders. Demonstrated organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, high-level written and oral communication skills.
