    Food & Beverage Manager - Riviera Beach ResortJob Description Overview:

    The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overall front-of-house operation of the restaurant outlets. The food and beverage manager will hire staff, and make sure everyone is trained on proper food service, proper and legal alcoholic beverage service kitchen safety techniques and understand health standards.

    The Food and Beverage Manager will make sure that company is represented correctly and that the company's standards are upheld. They will also be responsible for creating weekly schedules and maintain them through changes. They are responsible for implementing, fostering and ensuring that a team-player atmosphere is maintained and maintaining a positive interaction with the back-of-house operations and management.

    The Food & Beverage Manager, like all employees, speaks English exclusively with Guests and coworkers while on duty.

    Essential Functions:

    Employee must be in uniform daily (with belt), including name tag properly displayed, and properly groomed per hotel standards.

    Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs and profitability.

    Participation and input towards F&B Marketing activities.

    Development and maintenance of all department control procedures.

    Handle all Food & Beverage inquiries and ensure timely follow up on the same business day.

    Confirm all details relative to group functions with meeting/banquet planners.

    Supervision of weekly payroll input.

    Assure bar inventory for functions, including opening and closing inventories, accurate bar summaries and cash deposits are prepared.

    Completion of monthly inventory.

    Assure the ordering and purchasing of beer, wine, liquor, premix canisters and soft drinks is done weekly.

    Ensuring that services meet Guest specifications.

    Responsible for staff training and development and discipline of personnel when required.

    Responsible for overseeing all scheduling within the department.

    Participation towards overall Hotel Maintenance and cleanliness.

    Achieving service that exceeds expectations.

    Overall maintenance of the operation at a level in keeping with the standards prescribed.

    Ensures continuing and constant Guest satisfaction by interacting with Guests while dining, touching all tables and enquiring about Guest experience.

    Coordinate with group contacts regarding any F&B functions or events, ensuring that special requirements or requests are handled properly.

    Knowledgeable about entire property, including all scheduled activities, group functions, food and beverage outlets, entertainment and hours of operation of all activities, events and outlets.

    Understands and practices the “10 - 6” rule – when encountering a Guest, at 10 feet, makes eye contact and smiles and at 6 feet says “good morning/afternoon/evening”. Enquires about Guest satisfaction whenever possible and thanks the Guest for staying with us.

    Physical Requirements

    Food and Beverage Manager must be able to stand for long periods of time. A food and beverage manager must be able to lift or push up to 50 pounds on occasion.

    Uniform Requirements

    Uniform top provided, employee must furnish black slacks and black un-logoed shoes which provide adequate foot protection and are slip-resistant.

    Working Environment:

    Dining room areas and outside bar and pavilion.
