    Temp/Intern IT Help Desk Rizzetta & Company 4 reviews - Tampa, FL 33614 Temporary, Internship Assignment length varies from 4-6 weeks depending on project JOB SUMMARY The Temp/Intern IT Help Desk position is a customer facing role that strives to deliver superior troubleshooting and timely problem resolution to all end-users. This position provides Level I IT support by responding to incoming telephone calls, email requests, and self-service generated incident requests ranging from users experiencing technical difficulties with software to system related problems, access requests for new hires, access changes for existing users or termination requests. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS * Associates degree in a related field with a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training or applicable work experience. Bachelors degree preferred. * Successfully pass pre-employment screenings and background/reference checks. * Ability to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors and customers/clients of all professional levels. * Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. * Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, creative, and independent thinking. * Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's philosophy of high quality, professionalism and organizational culture. KNOWLEDGE & CRITICAL SKILLS Must have a working knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures and must be familiar with, but not limited to: * Knowledge of PC/local area network support environment. * Knowledge and application of Windows, Microsoft Office, MS-DOS, communications software, virus protection, and diagnostic software. * Knowledge and application of troubleshooting IT related problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Acts as initial contact for all internal and external customer technical support required for computer workstation hardware and software, telephone, network, operating system, printing and Internet access problems. * Responsible for answering the help desk phone, first level corrective action, and problem escalation to second level when necessary. * Performs installs, upgrades, moves and changes for computer workstation hardware and software. * Assist with network security, including maintaining firewalls, configuring VPN, managing host security, file permissions, file system integrity and adding/deleting users. * Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being possessed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network. * Performs and assists with miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
