POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Specialist will effectively juggle the high volume of daily routes across our multiple operating cities. Has the ability to resolve route issues and be proactively following up with our drivers and occasionally, our customers.  Interacting with our drivers, hauling partners and several teams across the organization. In addition to responding to route issues, responsible for ensuring other in-city work is executed, and also executing on a list of strategic deliverables to enhance our driver experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The primary contact point for all of our drivers; facilitating driver execution with immediate urgency and accuracy using our technology, phone, text and email
• Route and dispatch jobs using available platform drivers and a computerized dispatching system to identify, assign, track and report on the lifecycle of a route
• Communicate route information/updates to our customer service and operations teams
• Handle customer-site logistics improvements, including facilitating equipment delivery, equipment placement, and so forth
• Ensure daily material weight reports are accurate and complete
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our waste/recycling services and solutions according to customer needs and concerns

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• An exceptional ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously
• An exceptional ability to remain calm and focused in periods of uncertainty and relative chaos
• A minimum 1-2 years of experience as a logistics coordinator, dispatcher, transportation consultant, trucking/logistics recruiter or onboarding professional, or related role
• Computer savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new technology
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent organization skills
• High school degree or GED is required
