Wright Technical Services is actively seeking a Roadway Design Engineer for one of our clients in Greater Cleveland. The role involves designing roadway engineering projects, including geometric, hydraulic, pavement, intersection, lighting, and traffic design.

Job Duties:

• Assist in preliminary engineering and design planning.
• Ensure compliance with ODOT and local regulations.
• Prepare design calculations and contract documents.
• Manage projects through various permitting processes.

Skills:

• Problem Solving/Analysis: Independently make decisions based on engineering judgment.
• Technical Capacity: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Communication Proficiency: Guide junior staff and interact with stakeholders.
• Collaboration Skills: Consult on unique problems and work on improving project techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of roadway design experience.
• Knowledge of ODOT/local standards.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification required; PE Certification preferred.
