    Litigation Attorney - Growing Law Firm Our firm is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced personal injury litigation attorney to help our clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. As part of our litigation team, you will work with our team of highly skilled legal professionals. You should have excellent litigation credentials, a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation along with trial case experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. As COVID changed the way most organizations conduct business this position is remote, you will have to attend depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trials, however, you are not required to be in the office. We also have several satellite locations throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut that you can use for meetings. Responsibilities: • Handle personal injury litigation, with the ability to bring a case all the way to trial • Experience in building large cases for maximum value, using experts, research, and witness testimony  • Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information • Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client's behalf when appropriate • Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation • Document and update the status of all case files in Smart Advocate • Work with paralegals and other attorneys to resolve files Qualifications: • Membership in the Rhode Island or Massachusetts State Bar Association and a state license to practice law are mandatory • 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas are needed • Experience handling 40-60 cases throughout the litigation process. • A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired • Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred • Must be computer proficient Compensation: $100,000+ (base salary + commission)
