  • Responsibilities

    The settlement department assistant will assist in the disbursement of all Personal Injury proceeds. The position will require frequent phone conversations with multiple vendors including doctors’ offices, health insurance companies, and clients. The assistant will also meet with clients to provide settlement checks. Responsibilities: • Correspond with vendors and clients through phone calls, emails, and faxes. • Meet with clients to provide settlement checks. • Confirm balances on the most recent bills in file for all medical providers • Coordinating reductions with medical providers • Review the Final Settlement Breakdown and confirm all providers • Schedule Arrange and attend Settlement Appointments with clients • Scan and save signed checks to file • Process incoming and outgoing mail • Work with the accounting team to ensure data is correct in the case management system • Other assignments/projects as requested Qualifications: • Excellent communication skills • Competency in Microsoft Office • Ability to solve problems with some supervision • Strong attention to detail • Discretion in handling and communicating sensitive information • Ability to work in a dynamic environment • A positive attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done Compensation: $18.00
