REF ID: 00460-0011478765 CLASSIFICATION: Analyst COMPENSATION: $90000.00 to $100000.00 yearly Robert Half Finance and Accounting is partnering with a well-established company in the banking/credit union industry in the Gardena, California area to find a results oriented and ambitious Fraud Analyst. As a Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for fraud prevention, detection, and investigation activities for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Developing lessons learned from observed incidents & recommending changes to systems, procedures, & trainings
• Using Verafin fraud analysis system to monitor real-time queues and identifying high-risk transactions
• Monitoring transactions to identify fraudulent activity and cancel them from further processing if necessary
• Collaborate with executives, managers, and staff to address active fraud and evaluate rood causes
• Follow cases through to completion and work with law enforcement as necessary
• Maintaining fraud analysis models to improve efficiency & effectiveness of company systems
• Investigating successful and unsuccessful fraud attempts
• Ensuring confidentiality of all information collected during investigations
• Recommend anti-fraud processes for changing transaction patterns and trends

• Bachelor's degree or high
• 8+ years of credit union or banking experience
• 5+ years of fraud research experience
• Excellent working knowledge of the Verafin Fraud Analyst software system preferred
• Exceptional record keeping and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills - both written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical, organizational, and report writing skills
