Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our company. You will work with clients to gather all necessary documents, complete income tax documents, file returns, and check financial statements for errors. Our ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but we will also consider applicants with bookkeeping experience if you are familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Candidates must be local to apply.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and file tax documents, such as income tax returns
• Check documents for errors
• Meet with clients
• Provide support to clients in the case of an IRS audit
• Perform other clerical duties as necessary

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business Administration
• Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Enrolled Agent (preferred)
• Bookkeeping experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Quick-books software and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Bilingual communication skills a plus
