    Job Description

    Roberts Communications Network, LLC (“RCN”) is an established, yet rapidly expanding communications service provider based in Henderson, NV. RCN provides 24 x 7 television programming to various media distribution platforms within the USA, Latin America, and other regions across the globe. We have recently expanded our operations with the construction of a new, state of the art, 70,000 Sq. Ft broadcast facility. RCN is looking to add to our Streaming Media Services team to support our rapid expansion.

    The Streaming Media Services department at RCN distributes content to our internet-based customers around the world. Technical Support Specialists work within our Network Operations Center and are responsible for the daily operation and technical support for our live video streaming and digital archiving platforms. They work closely with our Streaming and Software Engineers, and frequently collaborate with our Broadcast Media, Network Monitoring, and management teams. This is a full-time, entry level position that will require working overnight and weekend hours. Onsite training will be provided for all associated job functions and responsibilities.

    Compensation: Starting at $15.00 Hourly

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Use proprietary software to operate, monitor, and maintain a daily schedule of live streaming video feeds.
    • Analyze high volumes of archived video to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Provide world-class technical support through phone and e-mail channels.
    • Analyze and troubleshoot web-based video streaming on PC, Mac, and mobile devices.
    • Troubleshoot remote, PC-based hardware installations.
    • Work closely and efficiently with other technicians and departments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • An aptitude for understanding and willingness to learn technical concepts relating to broadcast and streaming media workflows. As onsite training will be provided, previous experience in these areas is not required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with PC-based applications and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
    • Must be available to work all a shift that includes overnights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to obtain necessary gaming registration / licenses needed for employment with RCN.
