Robinson Lumber Company is looking for a Logistics Specialist to provide logistical, organizational, administrative, and office support. This position will be stationed in Winchester, VA.
Primary responsibilities
- Coordinate the sale, delivery, and billing of orders from start to finish in a step by step process
- Communicate with sales staff to keep track of new, pending, and in-progress orders
- Communicate with warehouses to coordinate shipments and deliveries using a set process
- Communicate with container, flatbed and Less-Than-Truckload freight providers to secure transportation and facilitate documentation
- Communicate with customers regarding sales orders, invoices, and shipments
- Use the company’s best-in-industry enterprise platform, LumberTrack, to manage inventory in third party logistics warehouses
Requirements
- Ideal candidate would have previous logistics and/or inventory control experience
- Candidates should have at least two years of relevant professional experience
- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are essential to this position
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Lumber and flooring experience are not necessary
