Job Description

** Job Function:**

The Robotics Field Application Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical expertise to deploy, optimize, and support robotic applications. This role will ensure systems are fully operational, efficient, and meet customer performance expectations while acting as a key interface between customers and internal teams.

Robotics Head of Services, NA

** Responsibilities and Objectives:**

• Field Application & Customer Support * Provide on-site programming, setup, and integration support * Troubleshoot robotic systems and resolve issues * Optimize performance to meet cycle time and quality targets * Support commissioning and validation * Provide remote technical support via phone and email to diagnose issues, guide customers, and ensure timely resolution * Respond to customer inquiries and support requests, ensuring clear communication and high service quality

• Application Development & Optimization * Develop and modify robot programs * Implement solutions with vision, tracking, and safety systems * Customize applications to customer needs * Ensure performance and reliability

• Training & Knowledge Transfer * Deliver customer and partner training * Ensure proper understanding and usage of systems * Support training material development

• Reporting & Process Discipline * Document activities in CRM * Provide technical reports * Track project progress

• Collaboration & Improvement * Work with internal teams * Provide feedback for improvement * Support knowledge sharing

• Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 3+ years experience in robotics or industrial automation
• Strong robot programming and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills
• Willingness to travel up to 75%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Structured text programming experience (C , C++, Python …)
• Experience with industrial fieldbus systems
• Experience with vision systems and conveyor tracking applications
• Multilingual (Spanish)
• Experience working with system integrators or OEMs

Additional Information

** Physical Requirements** :

• Periods sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer
• Periods traveling in automobiles, planes
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
• Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment

** Work schedule:**

• Willingness to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 75%)
• This position will report to the Duncan, SC office.
