    Job Description:

    The Director of Operations role is intended to independently support finance, human resources, and administration needs in the organization. The best candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, hold a high emotional intelligence, which allows him/her to work with the internal team to achieve increased productivity.     Objective:

    Support and implement the vision of the board of directors in the areas of finance, administration and human resources

    Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with founding President and Chairman of the Board with critical support and advice

    Support and strengthen nonprofit compliance efforts in Human Resources, Finance, and Administration

    Supervise staff members as directed by Board Chair Human Resources:

    ▪ Foster human capital management culture to support a diverse and supportive workplace

    ▪ Complete onboarding

    ▪ Update employee handbook, onboarding, and training processes for all employees

    ▪ Responsible for employee benefits administration and oversight

    Finance:

    ▪ Coordinate with board to complete strategic planning and budget cycles

    ▪ Responsible for finance oversight of A/P, A/R, payroll and finance reporting

    ▪ Develop, monitor and report on foundation and privately funded grants to support organization

    ▪ Work with accounting vendor to facilitate tax form completion, reconciliation, and reporting

    Administration:

    ▪ Oversee business policies, risk management, and legal activities with assistance from vendors.

    ▪ Oversee all business contracts, coordinate insurance needs.

    ▪ Supervise and support quality improvement and quality assurance programs

    ▪ Maintain policies and procedures to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant nonprofit operations

    Hours:

    · This a salaried position expected to take approximately 40 hours per week generally completed during the regular business day.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    · Bachelor’s degree or higher education in a relevant field

    · Experience managing others in an education or health-related organization, preferably in a remote environment.

    · Experience with human resources, financial oversight, and nonprofit management preferred.

    This is a remote position.
