The Reclaimer Operator is a specialized skilled position, experienced only need apply; travel required. This position is responsible for clearing and leveling the subgrade milling and mixing of new and existing soils with additives to create an improved, stabilized sub-grade for a comprehensive array of pavement and sub-grade restructuring processes and formulations. This individual will work closely with fellow operators and foremen to ensure formulations, production and long-term quality meets client expectations. Responsibilities: • Operate and maintain reclaimer mixing equipment, specifically Wirtgen WR250 and/or CAT RM500B , safely efficiently to produce high quality results. • Follow specific instructions, mix designs, for mixing soil with waterproofing and binding materials. • Maintain equipment to Rock Solid’s high standards. • Comply with all safety programs and procedures. • Comply with all Federal, State, and local DOT and FMCSA regulations. • Communicate clearly and professionally at all times. • Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the equipment and report any issues or problems for repair. • Maintain clean, safe and operable equipment including basic maintenance – fluids, greasing, cleaning, tiller teeth, etc. • Proficiency in using phone applications to enter project information and maintain proper paperwork and workflow. • Operate other equipment as needed, including but not limited to grader, compactor, spreader, water truck. • Perform other related duties as required and assigned. • Hours may fluctuate due to project and work-load variability and seasonality. Qualifications: • Minimum of 21 years of age • High school diploma, or GED equivalent • Minimum of 12 months reclaimer operator experience required. Must successfully pass field test of machine operations. • Ability to understand and operate all fundamentals of the machine to ensure best quality and production. • Required to travel (nationwide) for various lengths of time (2 months) with 3 week breaks. • Additional experience operating any/all of the following preferred: grader, compactor, spreader, water truck. • Knowledge of installations techniques and materials used for different projects. • Class A CDL preferred or required within 1 year of employment. • Union Operator credentials preferred. • Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects on tight schedules. • Strong and effective decision-making skills. • Favorable work history with no recent major driving citations or violations and verifiable previous employment. • Must pass pre-employment background and drug testing requirements. • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules. • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. • Able to communicate with team. • Understands all stabilization products. Compensation: $1,500 - $2,500 per week
