    TITLE, LOCATION, COMPENSATION, BENEFITS

    · Title: Featured Trainer

    · Location: ROCKBOX FITNESS, North Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43230

    · At-Will, Full Time Employment

    · $20/hour, with occasional OT (1.5x rate) opportunities, paid bi-weekly via direct deposit

    o Future pay increase potential based on performance and tenure

    o Client personal training offered at studio for additional personal income opportunities.

    WORK LIFE:

    · Details:

    o Safe, friendly, clean, high-energy, accountable, and FUN work environment

    o Reports to General Manager

    o Must have current and up to date training certifications (NASM or ACE preferred)

    o On the mic, controlling the music/tempo, and teaching 12 to 15 classes per week on average, some weeks more. Balance of week focused on leading sales, client counseling, communication, accountability, as well as other leadership functions (see below)

    o Most all work will be at the fitness studio, but at times some work may be done off-site

    o Must travel to Charlotte one time for corporate training (3 day trip, company paid)

    · Typical Schedule:

    o 5 days per week on average, possibly 6th day on occasion if needed

    o 40 hours weekly, with occasional OT (1.5x rate) opportunities

    o M-F early shifts start ~5am, evening shifts end ~8pm

    o Weekend shifts start ~8am, end ~1pm

    o Weekend availability is mandatory

    · Non-compete:

    o Prohibited from simultaneously working for another fitness company and/or from providing personal training services to any person or entity outside of the RockBox branded programs. See below for further details and restrictions.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    You will have a leadership role in the successful execution of your RockBox Fitness studio. As the Featured Trainer, your role is primarily responsible for 1) leading and executing high intensity, effective, safe, and fun group exercise classes based in boxing, kickboxing, and functional strength training and 2) believing in, explaining, and ultimately SELLING the clients on the benefits of membership, nutrition, and investment in themselves through the RockBox proprietary program.

    You will be required to bring consistent positive energy to every single class, and ensure all members experience an immersive workout, thus taking their fitness to a higher level. You will command the room with poise and confidence, remember and use member’s names frequently, and coach correct form as needed. Positive reinforcement will be shared with abundance to ensure each member feels valued and appreciated during, after, and in-between each class. Before, during, and after classes, you will also direct your Assistant Trainer to ensure all members’ needs are met. Between classes and after each class, you will oversee and ensure a spotless and safe studio.

    You will demonstrate consistently strong customer service skills, outstanding exercise technique, consultative selling skills, a drive to sell and build business, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for your clients’ overall health through RockBox’s unique approach to fitness. You will be responsible for partnering with the General Manager to meet or exceed all member acquisition and retention goals for the studio. You will also be a leader and an ambassador for RockBox Fitness both inside and outside the studio.

    Every day when representing RockBox, you will bring friendly, outgoing, positive, high-energy, confident, enthusiastic, client-focused, business-oriented, value-driven, trustworthy, punctual, reliable, conscientious, and community-focused energy to our clients and teammates.

    You will also have a leadership role in the promotion of your RockBox Fitness studio, including consistent on-brand social media posts, phone calls, text messages, email, and one-on-one personal interactions with clients.

    You will be required to take a minimum of two classes per week as a client, as loving RockBox and taking class is a key element of our culture, and will also enable you to learn, grow and achieve personal fitness results well above average.

    FEATURED TRAINER

    ROLE:

    · Business-savvy, customer-focused, and team-oriented leader.

    · Leadership of high-energy, inspirational, and functional RockBox Fitness classes.

    · Acquisition and retention of clients through consistently great customer service, energetic classes, social media and personal ownership and drive to succeed.

    · Building a supportive community between our clients and associates.

    · Instrumental in the promotion and SELLING of all internal offers (memberships, personal training, client acquisition, supplements, special offers, member events, non-profit fundraisers, and apparel) through a comprehensive suggestive sales approach with intent and purpose.

    · Partnering on focused social media posts (Instagram and Facebook) for marketing and new client acquisition purposes.

    · Personal attention to all clients through one-on-one coaching sessions, personal interaction before, during, and after classes, phone calls, text messages, and email.

    o For 6 Week Challengers:

    § Required communication with each challenger no less than twice per week, with documentation “progress folder” after each touch base.

    § Demonstrate servant leadership and vision to convert Challengers to EFT 12-month members.

    · Maintain a clean and safe facility.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    · Exude high-energy positive attitude at all times.

    · Be current on training certifications.

    · Learn all internal RockBox Fitness hardware and software applications.

    · Execute point of sale purchases with consistently great customer service.

    · Post to social media consistently (Facebook and Instagram) on RockBox Brand.

    · Wear RockBox apparel inside (required) and outside (as often as possible) studio.

    · Must know and acknowledge all clients BY NAME…every client, every day, every time.

    · Must LOVE appreciating customers and providing them an amazing experience.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Beginning of Shift

    o Ensure circuit is set up and in accord with focus area for the day, and review with assistant trainer.

    o Spot check lobby, restrooms, and front desk areas to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.

    o Check microphone and battery pack.

    o Be personally ready to go 15 minutes prior to start of the first class to greet members and give them your full attention upon arrival.

    o Emphatically greet all members by name within 10 seconds of entry (a person’s own name is the sweetest sound in the English language).

    o Remind members to book on the app, check-in upon arrival, and get ready to go.

    o Know internal promotions and be ready to verbal communicate and remind.

    · During Class

    o Lead with purpose, intent, energy, and presence.

    o Use cell phone only for music and timer.

    o Demonstrate all exercises prior to having anyone start the circuit. RockBox trainers always “show” instead of “tell.”

    o “Work the room” by moving about constantly and interacting with everyone personally by name. Action breeds action. Create a fun and engaging atmosphere.

    o Practice 2/2/2 – Two uses of each members name during workout. Two form corrections/adjustments for each member during session, always with positive encouragement. Two APPROPRIATE touches like fist bumps, light back pats, and form correction with permission.

    · After Class and Between Classes

    o Appreciate each member for their attendance and check to see how they are doing, and that they enjoyed the class.

    o Answer their questions, engage new prospects, focus on the closing sell (if needed), encourage them to post on social media, and set an expectation to “see them next time.”

    o Reset and CLEAN all equipment so it is ready for the next session.

    o Communicate to teammates of referrals you will have coming in when you may not be at the studio.

    o Check to maintain safe, clean, and sanitary restrooms, entryway, and locker areas.

    o Refill spray bottles and replenish towels as needed.

    · End of Shift

    o Reset and CLEAN all equipment.

    o Refill spray bottles and replenish towels.

    o Break down and put away all equipment used in circuit (unless leaving it up for next trainer).

    o Clean and sanitize restrooms, entryway, and locker areas. Mop workout floor.

    o For last shift of the morning, afternoon, and evening; turn off fans, turn off lights (or LIFX lights down to 30%), and lock all doors.

    · Outside of Classes

    o Social media posting.

    o Email messaging and responses.

    o Texting to clients.

    o Personal phone calls to clients to touch base and check in.

    o One-on-one counseling sessions in studio on fitness, nutrition, supplements, routine, their goals, etc

    o Contact referrals and invite them in (phone, email, text).

    o Work the front desk for overall customer service.

    o Organize and maintain administrative tasks, paperwork, files, etc.

    o Assist General Manager with basic business-related tasks.

     

    EXPECTED RESULTS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

    · Lead month-to-month membership and revenue growth

    · Close at or above 70% of first-time experiences

    · Convert at or above 80% of 6 Week Challengers to 12-month ETF members

    · Recover 25% of members looking to cancel

    · Maintain monthly member turnover at or below 2%

    · Drive consistently positive member feedback, measured by comments and feedback sessions

    · Zero accidents or injuries through a safe, clean, and sanitary facility that is to RockBox standards, and clients who are consistently coached/reminded of proper technique

    · Zero theft or internal loss

    · Partner to execute one charity event and/or member appreciation event every 3 months

     

     

     

     

    RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS/NON-SOLICITATION CLAUSE:

    As a Featured Trainer, you acknowledge and agree that the Company would be irreparably damaged if you were to compete with the Company or provide services to any person or entity competing with the Company or engaged in a similar business and that such competition by you would result in a significant loss of goodwill by the Company. You agree and further acknowledge that the covenants set forth in this section were a material inducement to the Company to enter into this Offer of At-Will Employment and provide the compensation and benefits of such offer, and that the Company would not obtain the benefit of this Agreement if you breached the provisions of this section. Therefore, during your employment and for two years (2) thereafter, regardless of whether you resign or are terminated from employment for any reason, you shall not engage in any of the following individually or as an employee, contractor, consultant, partner, member, officer, director or stockholder (other than a stockholder of less than 5% of a publicly traded corporation) or in any other capacity. You may not:

    Solicit, attempt to solicit, induce, attempt to induce or hire any current employee of the Company or employee who has worked for the Company within the six months prior any such solicitation

    Call on, solicit, attempt to solicit or service any customer, supplier, independent contractor, or business the Company is currently doing business with or has done business with the Company at any time within the last twelve (12) months of your employment. You may in no way induce or attempt to induce such party to cease doing business with the Company or in any way materially interfere with the relationship between any such customer, supplier, independent contractor or business relation and the Company.

    Directly or indirectly, use, communicate, disclose or disseminate any confidential or proprietary information including but not limited to present and planned business of the Company, Trade Secrets, marketing and sales programs, employee pay scales, financial data, supplier information, pricing information, computer programs or data, customer lists, equipment lists, business costs and expenses, reports, drawings, or any business or operational methods, concepts or ideas that have not been released publicly.

    Individually or as an employee, contractor, consultant, partner, member, officer, director or stockholder (other than a stockholder of less than 5% of a publicly traded corporation) or in any other capacity work at or operate a competitive business within five (5) miles of either this RockBox Fitness location. A competitor is defined as any gym, fitness center, boxing, kickboxing, MMA, boot camp, Cross Fit, personal training facility or similar.

    The Company and you hereby agree that it is impossible to measure solely in money the damages, which will accrue to the Company by reason of your failure to observe any of the above obligations. Therefore, if the Company shall institute any action or proceedings to enforce such obligations or provisions, you hereby waive the claim or defense that there is an adequate remedy at law and agree in any such action or proceeding not to interpose the claim or defense that there is an adequate remedy at law. Without limiting any other remedies that may be available to the Company, you hereby specifically affirm the appropriateness of injunctive or other equitable relief in any such action. If any provision contained in this section shall for any reason be held unenforceable because of its scope or duration, the parties hereto agree to modify such provision, or that the court making such determination shall have the power to modify such provision so that the intent be enforced.

    YOUR EMPLOYMENT WITH THE COMPANY IS AT-WILL. EITHER YOU OR THE COMPANY CAN TERMINATE YOUR EMPLOYMENT AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT CAUSE AND WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.
