Job Description

Large Buy side trading firm seeks a Counterparty Onboarding Specialist with 1 to 5  years of experience in financial services, compliance or legal to execute all aspects of the trading counterparty onboarding process.  This includes gathering due diligence, communicating status updates, answering counterparty questions, and escalating issues as needed. Position supports counterparties throughout the entire onboarding lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Managing all aspects of counterparty onboardings and periodic refreshes from end to end
• Main point of contact with the counterparty to ensure all information is received and disseminated. Review/vet information and question inconsistencies as a preliminary check
• Liaising with internal teams to gather and disseminate information in order to conduct checks/required tasks while fully understanding the steps that each group takes to complete the task
• Managing competing priorities and statuses throughout the onboarding process and escalate issues as needed
• Recommend, develop, and implement solutions

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Legal Studies, and/or similar discipline
• Background in KYC requirements/regulations
• Ability to effectively analyze/vet counterparty information and documentation in order to facilitate account opening
• Knowledge of financial industry products and trends
• Proven relationship management skills
