The Roeper Summer Day Camp at The Roeper School in Bloomfield Hills is celebrating its 75th anniversary and is looking for energetic candidates that enjoy working with children. Camp begins at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. This is a seasonal position that runs from June 13th to August 12th. We host campers ages 3 -12. Position: HEAD COUNSELOR Duties: Prepare and deliver quality instruction and programming, supervise campers, and prepare lesson plans and supply lists. There is an option to work additional hours for extra pay. Qualifications: High school or General Equivalency Diploma; Meets minimum age requirement of 18 or older for licensed childcare staff members, Childcare and/or Camp Counselor experience. Wage: $15 per hour Position: LIFEGUARD Duties: Contribute to the safety of camp participants by overseeing and providing appropriate instruction and supervision of campers for pool-based activities, water play and enforcing safety rules. There is the option to work as a swim instructor after camp for extra pay. Qualifications: Current Lifeguard certification, Prefer experience in lifeguarding and swim instruction Wage: $15.50 per hour COVID-19 Protocols: Roeper Summer Camp offers in person programs and activities.
