    We’re looking for an enthusiastic new addition to our team in Plymouth, MN as a Development Intern. This is a M-F, onsite internship for Summer 2024.

    Responsibilities

    As a Development Intern you will assist the development team and gain experience in all aspects of the real estate development process. This experience may include:

    • Conducting market analysis and project feasibility
    • Researching the market viability of new projects
    • Originating new projects in various markets
    • Compiling financing request packages for lenders, investors, and state agencies.
    • Modeling proforma and discounted cash flows
    • Securing financing (low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae/HUD debt financing)
    • Working through closing and due diligence checklists to get to a financial closing.
    • Reviewing investment agreements and contracts
    • Project planning
    • Partnering with construction to learn about the design process

    Requirements:

    • Recent graduate (or current undergraduate student) of a four-year Bachelor degree program in Real Estate, Finance, or related field
    • Active participation in Real Estate clubs/groups preferred
    • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people.
    • Financially astute with a strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex deals in an efficient manner.
    • Capacity to work cross functionally with various departments.
    • Superior organization skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver results in a timely manner.
    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of people.
