    Framatome is seeking a Planner Scheduler II for our Old Forest Road office in Lynchburg, Virginia.

     

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for establishing detailed schedules and resource requirements for operating plants and/or new plant deployment projects. Coordinates with project partners on the development and implementation of project schedules; tracks and monitors project schedules through completion. Analyzes plans and schedules to identify potential delays and integration problems; recommends changes to plans and schedules

     

    Major Duties include:

    • Develops, maintains current project schedules, schedule status and schedule analysis with appropriate software.
    • Assists in developing project work breakdown structure for projects to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements.
    • Provides critical path analysis and creates 'what if' scenarios; evaluates impact of changes to critical path.
    • Assists in identifying and ensuring adherence to required project resources (staff, materials, equipment, etc.).
    • Coordinates with IS on implementation, updating and enhancement to scheduling software tools.
    • Participates on project teams providing valued project data and analysis; leads project schedule status meetings.
    • Provides scheduling training, coaching and leadership to project staff, as needed.
    • Develops and analyzes project metrics; generates accurate, timely reports and schedules for management.
    • Recommends and develops scheduling process improvements.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 0 years of related work experience. May substitute a Bachelor's Degree in a non-technical discipline plus at least 2 years of related work experience, or comparable additional experience in lieu of Degree

     

     

    THE FOLLOWING MAY BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION:

    • 5+ years of project scheduling experience using P6 and/or MS Project.
    • Good understanding of complex planning and scheduling concepts and scheduling software
    • Understanding of internal and external stakeholders to ensure complete work package inputs and definition
    • Advanced knowledge of PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
    • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
    • Demonstrable passion for learning and improving
    • Passion for planning
    • Demonstrable track record of successful Planning, Conflict Management, Customer Focus, Managing and Measuring Work, Communication, Dealing with Ambiguity, Drive for Results, Negotiating
    • Significant experience in the Nuclear industry
    • Comprehension of nuclear power plant systems, components and interrelated activities
    • Prior Framatome experience

  • Qualifications
    • Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and KPS Global Code of Conduct requirements
    • Operating hand tools including electrical and pneumatic powered tools
    • Repairing basic electrical and mechanical systems like wiring, switches, tools, and manually operating plant equipment
    • Reading and interpreting schematics, blue prints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine appropriate maintenance and repair needs
    • Troubleshooting production equipment, powered industrial trucks, hoists, tools, and company vehicles to determine maintenance and service requirements
    • Fabricating production/facility equipment using welding, brazing, plumbing, and basic electrical knowledge
    • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities as required
    • Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving parts and equipment in preparation for inspection, maintenance, or service using powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment as required
    • Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes and paperwork including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping/receiving materials
    • Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
