POSITION SUMMARY:

Servtech Inc., a Roeslein Company, is seeking one or more Structural Welder I’s to assist in our steel skid and building manufacture.

QUALITIES/CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS JOB:

• Must be able to pass a welding test set up in our shop as well as able to pass the AWS D 1.1. certification requirements
• Consistently weld structural carbon steel in 1F, 3F and 4F fillet weld using FCAW and GMAW.
• Great attention to detail, examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces.
• The ability to follow verbal direction, training, and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of layout, positioning, aligning, and securing parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
• Ability to operate welders, hand, and power tools, forklift and overhead crane safely and follow Servtech Safety Procedures and Policies
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
• Conduct all work activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required. Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required
• Certification in welding is preferred
• 1-2 years welding is preferred
• Must be able to consistently execute high quality FCAw and GMAW welds
• Beginning level ability to read blue prints and tape measurements
• Basic Welding knowledge is required
• Previous welding experience strongly preferred
• A high level of energy and motivation
• Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment
