JOB DESCRIPTION

A temporary position in FDE-AL that includes working with engineering staff to support engineering studies in support of fuel assembly design analyses and special contracts with US customers.

Responsibilities will depend on qualifications and skills of the applicant.

They may include:

• Performance of engineering calculations using standard engineering computer codes
• Preparation of documentation supporting engineering studies
• Creation or modification of automation codes supporting engineering calculations
• Creation of Engineering databases

Required Skills Required Experience

ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least four semesters completed by start of internship/co-op.

• Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
• Knowledge of Statics, Dynamics, 3D Modeling and 2D drafting, Finite Element Analysis, MathCAD, MatLab, ANSYS
