  • Responsibilities

    This position will provide exposure to multiple engineering disciplines - electrical, mechanical and chemical – and their use in industrial applications within the PVD equipment department. Interns will be provided a mentor to guide activities ranging from equipment operation, equipment maintenance, equipment parts Jig design, process and monitor theory. The internship will consist system enhancement projects relating to production line efficiency improvement, monitor time reduction by operational or technical solution. We are looking for applicant who enjoys working hands-on to improve existing mechanical and electrical systems.

    WaferTech is a semiconductor manufacturing company located in Camas, Washington.  We currently employ approximately 1000 people at our fabrication plant.  Our internship program is open to students who are currently enrolled in a related academic program, have completed at least their sophomore year of college, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, are eligible to work in the United States on a long-term basis and are able to work full time for the 10-12 week internship period.  Internship start dates can be either 5/17/21 or 6/21/21.  All WaferTech internship opportunities will be held on-site.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Completion of sophomore year of college in a related degree program
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
    • Ability to work full time (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) for internship period
    • Ability to work in the United States on a long term basis
    • Available to work for 10-12 weeks, beginning either 5/17/21 or 6/21/21
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • A related associates (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years;
    • OR, a related Bachelor's degree or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.

     

    RELATED DEGREE, CREDENTIAL, AND/OR OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE:  Architectural Engineering, Architecture (design, drafting), Engineering, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Computer Science, Construction, Construction Management, Building Science, Interior Design.  Previous Industry License or certification such as NCCER, General Contract License or related Business Ownership/License.
