  • Responsibilities

    Perform various routine procedures to final assemble and test the 00 circulator pumps from a variety of components.

    • Works from EPICOR ERP System for retrieval of scheduled job orders, understanding of circulator pump requirements and manual entry of production quantities against job orders using EPICOR ERP system.
    • Maintains a SPC Torque Chart as required and as certified by the Quality Engineer.
    • Uses power tools such as pneumatic socket screw driver, to build the pump from components such as: casings, O-rings, plate, cartridge, motor housing assembly and bolts.
    • Uses test equipment, air pressure equipment, air hose and common hand tools.  Places circulators in fixture gaskets, observes for correct body position, activates test stand to achieve prescribed air pressure, observes for seal leaks, porosity and loose bolts.  Makes minor adjustments as necessary.  Sets aside defective units and places good units on paint conveyor line.  Communicates with builder when order is complete and proper number of pumps have been tested.
    • May also perform other component sub-assembly operations on the line as required or directed.
    • Visually checks for quality and repairs defects as required to bring pieces to acceptable quality level.  Maintains record of defective units.
    • Maintain necessary records, move materials as needed by hand cart from other areas.  Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.Maintain work area and equipment in neat and orderly condition.  Follow general and prescribed safety and health rules and regulations, such as wearing gloves, safety glasses and safety shoes to perform operations.
    • Perform other related duties as required or directed.

    Required Skills

    • At least 3 months of experience in a production environment, preferably as an assembler
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively apply to assigned work
    • Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access production and resource data
    • Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting
    • Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes
    • Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
