    Roessel Joy has partnered with an established occupational medicine provider urgently seeking to hire an Office Manager to join their team! In this seat, you will be responsible for managing all the financial aspects of the practice. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of medical billing experience and managerial experience.

    Responsibilities:

    Manages all aspects of website email accounts in partnership with website/email vendor.

    Communicates with payroll provider to ensure proper payroll, taxes are administered accurately and according to OccMedCIC’s payroll schedule.

    Monitors the cost of payroll provider and if necessary, seeks alternates based on services, cost of program, and ease of use. Reviews payroll with Principal on an as needed basis.

    Provides HR management in the areas of hiring, corrective action, training, and evaluation of employees. Collaborates with payroll provider and other HR service partners to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

    Oversees inventory review with medical assistants to ensure appropriate inventory levels at an efficient cost.

    Invoicing/tracking payments for injury care and fee-for-service

    Overseeing billing staff

    Defining and managing the budget

    Leverages the Electronic Medical Record and other reporting systems to optimize billing/collection of revenue and facilitate monthly generation of metrics.

    Communicates effectively with insurance carriers, general contractors, and direct employers to obtain payment.

    Assesses payment status of various payers and communicates payment goals to clients.

    Corrects medical coding errors and notes to add supply codes when appropriate.

    Ensures proper medical coding for injury care and surveillance exams.

    Manages contracted billing staff and ensures appropriate receipt and allocation of incoming funds for injury care (worker compensation) and Fee for Service activity. Executes billing processes when the need arises and reviews with Principal annually and on an as needed basis.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in health administration, business administration with medical terminology or comparable required.

    One year of medical office management, three years of medical office billing background preferred

    Exceptional organizational skills and ability to organize time and priorities effectively, asking for direction when appropriate. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and deadline pressures.

    Ability to skillfully handle issues of sensitive nature with respect to confidentiality, abiding by HR guidelines

    Exceptional computer skills and knowledge of QuickBooks, Electronic medical record, Microsoft Office (excel, word, PDF), banking, basic online marketing.

    Strong time management and organization skills
