REGIONAL OUTREACH MANAGER – WESTERN SERVICE AREA
As the Regional Outreach Manager of Western Service Area, you will work with the Vice President of Business Development and Admissions, Outreach Leadership, and specified outreach representatives within the defined geographic region to oversee the strategy development and day-to-day promotion of Rogers’ services, primarily to referring providers. The Regional Outreach Manager also assists with recruiting, training, and mentoring for designated outreach representatives.
JOB DUTIES:
Maintain knowledge of existing and new services within Rogers Behavioral Health with a focus on specialty services and residential programs as assigned.
- Effectively use knowledge to nurture relationships and engage referring providers in dialogue that confirms openness to refer.
- Maintain periodic communication with program managers/directors, clinical teams and ancillary clinical team members (e.g. social services, intake/admissions).
Assist with outreach staff development and training.
- Work with outreach leadership and VP of Business Development and Admissions to coordinate new outreach reps’ departmental orientation and training.
- Manage and train new outreach staff in regard to targeting the right referral sources, setting and attending appropriate appointments, doing warm and cold calls, Salesforce reporting, and other pertinent outreach responsibilities.
- Fulfill management and administrative responsibilities related to direct reports as assigned.
Contribute referral development strategy within strategic marketing plans for defined services and geographic area.
Work with VP of Business Development and Admissions, Outreach Leadership, Marketing leadership, Outreach team, and program managers in the development of strategic and tactical referral development plans.
- Set measurable marketing objectives.
- Identify targeted groups within the region, define methods to reach these groups, and set implementation timelines.
- Modify plans based on market research, new growth opportunities, and evaluation of prior year outcomes.
- Demonstrate effective results from outreach initiatives, such as increased phone calls to admissions from the designated geographic area, requests for phone screenings, increases in admissions to specific programs or other established goals.
Work with outreach staff to identify, assess, monitor, and update competitor environment within designated geographic markets.
- Conduct or oversee the comparative analysis of strengths and weaknesses of Rogers Behavioral Health programs and similar competitor services and regular updates to that analysis.
- Identify and communicate any gaps in services or new growth opportunities with Rogers’ leadership.
- Lead internal marketing strategy for defined geographic area and/or services.
- Work with Outreach staff to establish pattern of regular communication with clinical staff regarding overall services of Rogers Behavioral Health.
- Ensure appropriate clinical staff awareness of all residential services and the various regional specialty programs.

Execute and manage external referral development strategies to identify, initiate, nurture and maintain referral relationships for long-term support of Rogers Behavioral Health. Assist and manage outreach staff in the following activities:
- Implement referral specific follow-up strategies to engage with referent.
- Meet with or otherwise communicate with the referral source to identify needs and to solicit feedback on services and experience.
- Engage existing and prospective referring providers, through multiple channels of personal contact, such as:
- Face-to-face appointments
- State and local conferences
- On-site campus/program tours
- Networking events
- Continuing education events (within guidelines)
- Phone including cold calls
- Conduct needs assessment with all new clients.
- Maintain record of contact within Salesforce, including account and contact demographics; activity (e.g., call, conference, networking event).
- Overseeing key strategic initiatives for the region and ensuring strong relationships with referring providers.
Identify and participate in new business development discussions for designated region. Provide leadership and direction in the strategic planning and development of conferences. Assist and guide outreach representatives with the following activities:
- Host, exhibit, and/or attend targeted, off-site workshops/conferences.
- Develop positive sponsorship opportunities within budget constraints.
- Develop key positive relationships with national organizations and referents.
- Identify and summarize new business/program opportunities, as appropriate to corporate and hospital mission.
- Continually assess and identify core conferences related to specialty services.
- Assure appropriate attendance at conferences in conjunction with or with respect to marketing plan and related budgets.
- Analyze return on investment for new business development opportunities and report to key administrative and clinical staff.
Travel extensively within the designated geographic area
- Dedicate approximately two to three days per week outside of the office attending appointments with targeted sources and or attending conferences and networking meetings and events.
- Have ability to include overnight and weekend travel throughout the year as necessary for effective marketing purposes.
Support related strategic priorities for Rogers Behavioral Health.
- Partner with Marketing Education and Events Lead in establishing annual calendar.
- Assist with the recruitment and identification of potential psychiatric staff.
- Establish a positive relationship with new psychiatrists, physicians, and psychologists to build relationships for future marketing and outreach opportunities.
Participate in the Rogers Improvement System and other organizational committees and projects as directed or requested.
- Lead or actively participate in other department, site or system teams
- Gain understanding of the performance improvement process and participate in the Marketing department and system improvement events and projects as requested.
- Recognize opportunities to improve Marketing department and health system and bring them forward as appropriate.
Demonstrate understanding of and adhere to requirements and guidelines and compliance regulations from external agencies including Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Comply with the hospital’s policies and procedures, including Human Resources, Infection Control, and Employee Health policies and programs.
- Learn and apply Marketing department standards and any relevant regulations and adhere to department policies and procedures.
- Participate in in-services, seminars, and other meetings to increase involvement and awareness of regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or in behavioral health required.
- Minimum of five years of outreach and supervisory experience.
- Experience with strategic planning and new business development.
- Direct negotiation experience required.
- Computer proficiency and working knowledge of software programs, including Windows® packages.
- Valid driver license. Must be granted insurable status by the Rogers Behavioral Health insurance policy.
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm with some work completed outside of these hours (conferences, events, etc)
