    SUMMARY:

     

    THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT- 5PM-1:30AM CST.

     

    The Intake Specialist serves as a patient advocate and allows access to life changing care for members of the community. Intake Specialists work within a collaborative team including physicians, providers, other intake specialists and many other members of a multidisciplinary team. The Intake Specialist gains career experience to develop and progress with a nationally recognized behavioral health leader.

     

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Evaluate incoming telephone inquiries to determine needs and offer a screening.
    • General knowledge of HIPAA and Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) and how it related to admissions.
    • Knowledge of all Rogers programs and services and the ability to explain to patients/families/referents.
    • Demonstrate clear, accurate and timely use of case notes.
    • Explain insurance coverage to patients during the admission process and answer related questions.
    • Involve the Manager in cases that require special attention due to the complex nature of the case.
    • Ability to communicate and coordinate transfer to and from Rogers.
    • Develop working relationships with physicians to ensure an open line of communication regarding patients care, utilization of insurance benefits and criteria for authorization by third-party payers.
    • Communicate with members of the multi-disciplinary team, as needed, regarding documentation and clinical criteria to assist with reimbursement and third-party reviews and treatment issues.
    • Meet with patient during the admission process to educate him/her regarding the admissions process and ensure a seamless transition to the appropriate program.
    • Obtain all signatures needed for admissions, including, patient rights, consent for Treatment Consent for the Release of Information, patient financial agreement, and all other admission forms.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred in human services. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health care setting, HIM, admissions, or billing preferred.  Customer service experience required.
    • One full year in a previous Intake Specialist role.
    • No disciplines in the past 12-month period.
    • Formal Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is required within sixty (60) days of the date of hire. Annual re-
    • Valid driver license preferred, and must be granted insurable status by the Rogers Memorial Hospital insurance policy.
    • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
    • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for a medical or religious exemption

  • Qualifications

    WAGE: Starting at $18.96 base + $0.50 Shift Differential , Top Base rate at 1 year: $21.75 

    HOURS: Monday- Friday 9:00 pm-5:00 am

     

    1. Performs general housekeeping functions in assigned areas.
    2. Assists in safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
    3. Turns Palletized WIP and Raw Material as needed for Die Cutters
    4. When turning loads - Removing defective sheets from loads and ensuring material is marked compliant with diagrams
    5. When turning loads - Assist Press operations with the removal and replacement of dies/plates and strippers.
    6. When turning loads - Ensure waste carts are emptied.
    7. Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and scrap rates meet or exceed established standards.
    8. Responsible for compliance with all facility production and product safety standards to include food safety, food defense, and quality policies.
    9. Support machine operations as assigned by department leadership

    Requirements

    • Education: High school diploma or GED required. 
    • Judgment and maturity – Average degree of both required

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    Frequent/strenuous physical effort (lifting, moving heavy objects, etc.) required.

    Frequently exposed to conditions involving noise, fumes, and hazardous chemicals

    Must be able to work overtime as required.
