Performs monitor technician duties and monitors patient''s cardiac rhythms under the direct training of a registered nurse. Performs nursing assistant duties under the direct training of a registered nurse.

Required Skills

3. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a nursing assistant and monitor tech.
4. Ability to detect abnormal cardiac monitor tracings for adult and pediatric patients.
5. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Required Experience

A. Work Experience Hospital setting preferred. B. License/Registration/Certification Current CPR Training Program. C. Education and Training Successful completion of approved educational program for nursing assistant and dysrhythmia/monitor training program.
