    THE ACCREDITATION RISK SPECIALIST LL POSITION IS A HYBRID ROLE (WORK 2 DAYS FROM HOME, WORK 3 DAYS AT THE VARIOUS ROGERS LOCATIONS-BROWN DEER, OCONOMOWOC, AND WEST ALLIS LOCATIONS)

    The Accreditation Risk Specialist reports to the Compliance Manager – SE and works closely with many internal operations departments to perform mock surveys to ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Joint Commission Standards. Responsible for investigating unusual occurrences, and conducting audits of each program (In-Patient, Residential, and Outpatient) to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and Federal, State, and Joint Commission Standards.

     

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for managing daily assigned incident or other serious event investigations that occur at Rogers West Allis, Oconomowoc, and Brown Deer facilities
    • Conduct chart audits to ensure compliance
    • Perform program audits for Inpatient, Residential and Outpatient settings to ensure compliance with policies and procedures to ensure patients safety
    • Provide education to staff when needed in all areas related to compliance
    • Assist during Federal, State and Joint Commission surveys as needed, conducting tours and providing necessary documents as appropriate
    • Participate in the Rogers Operating System to ensure action plans and follow-up projects to address any regulatory deficiencies identified are addressed
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to the different facilities (Brown Deer, West Allis, and Oconomowoc WI)

    EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, political science, social services, business, or related field required
    • Experience conducting audits with joint commission or state agency preferred
    • Min of 3 years’ experience with regulatory compliance in health care
    • Demonstrate an understanding of Joint Commission, State and Federal regulatory requirements and risk management responsibilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
    • Ability to respond to issues with urgency and be a trusted advisor
    • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
    • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
