    Summary:

    In this role, you will plan and develop programming and facilitate psycho-educational and process groups. The Mental Health Professional is responsible for patient and program safety and assisting in the development of behavior management plans. You will have the opportunity to attend patient staffing's, receive supervision and gain extensive training and experience in evidenced based therapy modules.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Job Requirements:

    • Collect and record data to contribute to the treatment plan.
    • Document patient progress daily on group notes, educational form, and on progress notes, as indicated.
    • Assume responsibility for assigned patients, complete rounds, and behavior plans.
    • Participate in monthly staffing of all assigned patients.
    • Research topic areas and gather appropriate materials.
    • Organize materials and adapt them to the age and developmental level of the group.
    • Attend continuing education courses.
    • Facilitate psycho-educational and process groups for five (5) hours daily.
    • Monitor dietary intake of the patients.
    • Provide structured therapeutic milieu in which a positive pattern of social, education, and personal behavior and coping skills is taught, reinforced, and enhanced.
    • Implement individualized care based upon the treatment plan of the individual.
    • Develop behavior management plans/programs for all patients and follow through with implementing each program.
    • Consult with the treatment team and family members as needed/requested.
    • Respond to emergency situations as needed.

    Education/Training Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in the area of education or Human Services and a minimum of two (2) years work experience serving children with mental health disorder OR a minimum of six (6) years work experience and training providing direct services to children with mental health disorders is required.
    • Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
    • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
