    CONTRACT DURATION: 8 MONTHS

    POSITION IS FOR MID SHIFT ONLY. (11PM EST TO 7:30 AM EST) NO DRIVING OR TRAVELING

    ****CANDIDATE WILL ALSO NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE AND BE ABLE TO WORK IN ANY SHIFT OF A 24X7X365 STAFFING MODEL. ****

    Network Operations Technician will receive, analyze, monitor and resolve network problems in a timely fashion with minimal guidance from more senior technicians or supervisor.   Responsibilities will include opening trouble tickets for various customers, answering incoming telephone calls, responding to network alarms and customer emails, and documenting/updating customer account data. Education:  High school or equiv. plus 2 years formal electronics training or equivalent knowledge through experience.  Associates Degree in related field preferred.  Minimum 2 years related telecommunications experience or 1 year as NOS with satisfactory or better performance.  Industry certifications, related experience in the military and physical line or protocol experience is preferred.  Basic knowledge of UNIX operating system is a plus.  Additional Requirements: Microsoft Office software suite...emphasis in both Excel and Outlook.  Position may require shift work based on days of the week or hours.  Must be eligible to work in the US.

    Candidate will serve as a contact on technical and service related problems for the diagnosis and repair of customer service failures and coordinate problem-solving efforts with the Local Exchange Carriers (LEC), customer vendors, and, field service personnel. 

     

    Candidate will be responsible for TDM, Ethernet, and, Microwave maintenance activities supporting the wire line and wireless networks; and, should possess a strong understanding of internal and external network infrastructure for troubleshooting purposes.

     

    Candidate must be efficient at multi-tasking and be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

     

    Strong negotiation and problem resolution skills are also required. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication practices.

  • Qualifications
    • Strong verbal and written skills.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Good understanding of nursing principles.
    • Good understanding of patient/family teaching principles.
    • Knowledge of computer practice management systems and other computerized systems (Microsoft Office programs, electronic health record systems).
    • Good communication skills, bilingual in Spanish helpful.
