Under the direction of the Facilities manager, the Facilities Plumber performs general plumbing involving construction projects, preventive maintenance, and repair.

Required Experience

Required:

• High School, GED, or trade school graduate with courses in arithmetic and plumbing
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Violence Intervention Prevention (VIP) training within 3 months of employment
• LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH Only)

Preferred:

• Contractor License
• Journeyman Card or equivalent
• Medical Gas Certifications
• Backflow Certifications
• Welding/Brazing/Soldering certifications
• Three to five years supervisory experience at the journey level in general plumbing
• Hospital experience
• One year accepted for completion of acceptable trade school.
• One year accepted for 2 years’ experience in other than a hospital
• Two years high-rise experience
• Project Foreman experience
