    FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms.  We are conveniently Located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries.     We are currently looking for a OPERATING ROOM X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST to join our IMAGING team. 

    Job Summary:

    The OR X-ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during the following procedures: myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration and steroid injection exams. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and the In-Patient areas and any walk in, routine X-rays ordered. The North Central Imaging department is a fast paced area and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas and be able to manage his/her time effective and communicate well while maintaining a positive attitude.

    This position will participate in an on-call rotation of 4-6 shifts per month.

    Required Skills

    • Must possess strong patient satisfaction skill set
    • Must possess independent decision making skills
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple patients
    • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and their family
    • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
    • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
    • AART Registered in Radiology
    • ARRT Registered in CT (preferred but not required at this time)
    • Experience with the following equipment is desired: Siemens, Digital Fluoroscopy and Radiography room, Siemens, Digital Portable Equipment
    • Opportunity to be cross-training in CT (GE Revolution EVO) after training.
    • BLS current
    • Must have a current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
    • 3 years of hospital experience required
    • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations
