Room Service - Prep Cook / FT, Sat, Sun, Mon 12:00p - 8:30p and Tues, Wed 2:00p - 9:30p
This position is a trained position in food preparation and production. Prepares food for patients, employees, visitors and catered functions. Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum: Reading, basic math, written language in English
- Preferred: High School education (diploma) or equivalent
- Has current food handler permit.
- Obtain food handler certification within 60 days of start date.
- Ability to meet time standards required by production schedule.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation from scratch.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
- Has current food handler permit.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrate initiative in assuming responsibilities.
- Must be cooperative, discreet, and courteous in handling visitors and employees.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a high volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution preferred.
