    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Encon Safety Products Marketing Manager is a staff management position responsible for planning, developing, and implementing product strategies and marketing initiatives for the Encon business segment to support the sales of company products.  They provide marketing direction for product lines, contribute in new product line development, and participate in developing sales forecasts and goals.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Staff management duties include, but are not limited to: interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, training, delegating work assignments and disciplining associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
    • Develops the annual marketing plan and department budget and assists with the coordination of marketing department budgeting for Business and Product Manager(s).
    • Develops internal and external promotional activity including content generation for marketing assets such as but not limited to white papers, sales collateral and related materials.
    • Monitors relevant industrial trends and gathers competitive market, competitor, and customer information regionally and globally.
    • Oversees web site development, support and maintenance management.
    • Provides e-marketing development and support.
    • Produces communications for the internal sales team, the Customer Service department, and the Leadership team.
    • Manages advertising campaigns and scheduling.
    • Manages the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; produces marketing effort results and provides information flow on marketing efforts to Management and to the field sales team.
    • Leads major trade show participation, organization, management and support; provides support to Regional Sales Managers for local show participation.
    • Manages proprietary branding, trademark and registration; manages EnconÒ owned registration trademarks such as but not limited to Veratti®, Aquarion®, CasCaide®, and ThermaFlo® as well as the development of new brands and logos as identified; manages and coordinates legal filings and objection resolutions as necessary with Encon owned brands.
    • Administers the legal contracts associated with licensed brands to include revenue analysis and reporting of the licensed brands such as NASCAR® branded product.
    • Acts as a “Supplier Delegate” within distributor marketing and buying groups for Encon Safety Products as specified by the General Manager; manages Encon’s efforts by gaining cooperation with the Accounting, Sales and Customer Service teams to focus on targeting, optimizing, measuring and reporting results.
    • Provides immediate field support for Regional Sales Managers regarding products; continues effort by participating in product development and expanded new product need identification.
    • Performs other duties as requested.

     

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

    Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Marketing, Communications, etc.) with 5+ years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that gives the individual the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job. Experience should include:

    • Successful experience in leading channel and product marketing strategic planning and growth initiatives.
    • Strong working knowledge of Social Media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
    • Experience with software, programming and computer terminology such as graphics design product and video efforts.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the manufacturing industry; experience with tempered water systems, safety and protective eye products preferred.
    • Strong computer knowledge and aptitude to learn various applications mandatory; proven proficiency with a CRM like SalesforceÒ or ZOHOÒ
    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Strong communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, demonstrated use of sound judgment, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to maintain composure, effectiveness, and be flexibility under pressure.
    • Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals); ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent preferred.
    • Ability to compile routine reports and write correspondence.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.

     

    STAFF MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Immediate supervision over a unit, section or department where the majority of the time is spent assigning, reviewing, checking work and eliminating ordinary difficulties. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews, and applies company policies.

    • Must be able to handle and work physical inventory; required to lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance following standard operating and safety procedures. Other physical requirements including, regularly being required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb and balance.
