  • Responsibilities

    The Payroll/HR Clerk is responsible for the processing of payroll on a bi-weekly schedule. All timekeeping, payroll records and data entry to payroll system, manual checks, statistical information and employee customer service is part of this position. This position supports the Human Resources in the Maintenance of Personnel records. The Clerk also assists  with employee calls concerning payroll issues. The clerk must be constantly vigilant about keeping all information completely confidential and is always in compliance with all hospital standards and state and national labor laws. This position works closely with the Corporate Payroll Office.

    • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving

    • Good working knowledge of relevant software, including MS Office
    • Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls
    • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    EDUCATION                                                                                                                 

    • High School Diploma, or equivalent
    • Some college a plus

    SPECIFIC JOB EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience processing payroll of 100+ employees in a multi-shift environment, hospital preferred)
    • Experience with payroll and timekeeping systems, preferably Kronos/ADP E-Prise
