  • Responsibilities

    Provides cardiac monitoring and clerking duties under the direction/supervision of the licensed nurse. Performs all tasks related to computer order entry within their given scope of practice, telephone communication, and keeps the eMD updated and current. Communicates in an efficient, accurate, and hospitable manner to ensure that patient, physician, and hospital needs are met.

    Required Experience

    • High School graduate, preferred
    • Successful completion of Basic EKG Interpretation.
    • Formal Unit Clerk Course and/or comparable six month’s hospital experience or Medical Assistant certification
    • Medical Terminology or demonstrated proficiency and/or ability to learn
    • Typing 35 wpm minimum desirable
    • Current BLS certification
    • Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
    • Non-violent crisis intervention training annually
