Specialties and services will include Orthopedic, Spine, Pain Management, General Plastic, and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery.     Baylor Medical Center at Uptown is a part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI owns and operates multiple surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical care centers throughout the United States and London; with headquarter located in Addison, TX.

    The House Supervisor will oversee the general supervision of nursing care, provided maintenance of staff qualified to meet the needs of patients for various areas. Participate in patient admission and discharge system. Supervise representative during absence of CNO and managers. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, The Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.  This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to facility with a healthcare need and will provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee. 

    Required Skills

    • Graduate of professional school of nursing. BSN required.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Post-Surgical Unit Nursing or Critical Care.
    • Current Texas RN License
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS
    • Knowledge of TDH, Medicare and Joint Commission rules & regulations.
    • Certification in a specialty area highly desired
    • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
    • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
    • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
